Fire Prevention Week
October 6 — October 12
Fire Prevention Week, held Oct. 6-12, was established by the National Fire Protection Association (NFPA) in 1922 to commemorate the Great Chicago Fire of 1871. This week is dedicated to educating the public about fire safety and prevention, aiming to reduce the risk of fires and save lives.
Through a series of educational activities and events, communities are encouraged to practice fire safety and develop emergency preparedness plans. You can participate in Fire Prevention Week by using our educational fire safety products and merchandise to promote fire awareness and prevention. Let’s help ensure the safety and well-being of our communities by spreading crucial fire safety knowledge.
