Smoking Cigarettes: The Unfiltered Truth Binder is a great Tobacco Prevention program for Great American Smoke-Out

During the years since 1984, Dr. Benner has conducted many smoking-cessation classes and has developed this curriculum.  The attrition rate has varied with different populations, but based on her experience, about 80% who initially join the class will complete the class.  Of those, 95% will quit smoking by the end of the two-week session.  Many groups have been trained in the model described here.  The model can be adapted for use for different populations, such as YOUTH, TOBACCO USERS, AND PEOPLE WHO DO NOT SPEAK ENGLISH.  The Guide provides everything the facilitator needs to know about how to run a cessation class and includes intake and other necessary forms
